Fun with Logos - Can You Guess These Famous Company Logos and What State They Hail From?

I came across this fun Corporate States of America by Keith Fleck. He says, “This project was an exercise in finding the most recognizable brands headquartered in each state.”

I love logos. The best ones are able to communicate so much from just a few critical elements. In the digital world, simplicity is crucial. Your logo must look as sharp and recognizable on a tiny 16-pixel favicon on a browser tab as it does plastered across a large billboard.

Your logo must scale.

Notice the logos with an actual icon are far easier to recognize than those that are solely word-type, or a font. You can probably pick out the Coca-Cola logo, but that is most likely because you have seen it your whole life and Coke spends billions on advertising. (Note: They also added the bottle shape as part of their branding)

If you want to dive a little deeper, I go into great detail about logo design in my book, the Seven Keys to Marketing Genius.

How well does your logo represent you and your brand?
